In UK law, the creator of unique content, including website writing (copy) is given automatic copyright protection.
Therefore, the right to use copy created by nhWriting remains with nhWriting unless transferred to another party.
To protect nhWriting from the unauthorised use of copy, copyright is only transferred to the client on receipt of full payment.
Until payment is received, nhWriting will permit the client to use copy produced for them in the understanding that payment will be made by the invoice due date (usually 30 days from the invoice date).
If payment is not received from the client by the due date, nhWriting reserves the right to withdraw the aforementioned permission. nhWriting may then exercise the right to legal redress under copyright infringement laws.
Any deviation from the above must be agreed as part of a signed contract between nhWriting and the client.
